Answer: Lencho hoped for rain for his good harvest.

Answer: Lencho thought that the post office workers have taken the rest of the money because he had asked God for a hundred pesos and the envelope had only seventy pesos, he thought that they have stolen the rest of the money. The irony in this situation is that the post office officials contributed and collected money for Lencho. Still he sees them as crooks and cheats.
